Privacy Policy

Fridgeful ("we") runs Fridgeful. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights. We are the data controller. Contact: luka@knapic.si, Grusovlje 24.
What we collect
- Account data: email address, optional first name, a securely hashed password.
- Kitchen data: ingredients, staples, servings, diet and allergy notes, household profiles, saved recipes and meal plans. Diet and allergy notes can reveal health information; we use them only to tailor your recipes.
- Photos: photos you scan are sent to our AI provider to detect ingredients, then discarded. We do not store them.
- Usage data: counts of features used (to apply plan limits), and basic server logs (IP address, time) for security.
- Billing data: handled by Paddle.com as Merchant of Record. We receive your subscription status and a Paddle customer ID — never your full card details.
Why we use it (legal bases)
- To provide the Service you signed up for (contract).
- To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interests).
- To send essential emails such as password resets and receipts (contract). We don't send marketing emails without your consent.
- Diet and allergy information is processed with your explicit consent, which you give by entering it; you can delete it at any time.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that help us run Fridgeful, under data-processing agreements:
- Google (Gemini API) and, if enabled, Anthropic (Claude API) — to generate ingredient lists, meal ideas and recipes.
- Image generation providers — receive only the dish name and description, never personal data.
- Paddle.com — payments, invoicing and tax.
- Resend — sending account emails.
- Our hosting provider — stores the database.
Some providers may process data outside the EEA/UK; where they do, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards. We never sell your data.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you logged in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Paddle may set cookies needed to process a payment during checkout.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days (backups roll off within 35 days). Paddle keeps billing records as required by tax law.
Your rights
You can access, correct, download (Account → Download my data) and delete (Account → Delete account) your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. Email luka@knapic.si for anything else.
Children
Fridgeful isn't intended for children under 16.
